1. Gathering and use of personal data and other information

1.1. RefinedWiki will process the personal data that You submit to RefinedWiki and/or other information, including but not limited to name, address, e-mail address, IP-address and username in order to provide You with services, features and/or functions that You have requested.

Our lawful basis for processing of the applicable data is that the processing is either (i) necessary for the fulfillment of the agreement You have with us, or (ii) that the processing is necessary in order to comply with applicable legislation or (iii) that the processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests and that our interests are stronger than Your interests or rights which require protection of personal data.

1.3. We will keep Your personal data as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes below or for as long as we are required by law. After this Your personal data will be erased.

1.4. In order to participate in some activities, You might be asked to provide personal data, e.g. in connection with the activities referred to below. Providing such information is voluntary. However, please note that if You decline to provide us with the requested information, we may be unable to provide You the services, features and/or functions that You have requested.

1.5. You may request support services and review other user’s support matters and queries on publicly accessible forums located on refined.com. On our website, other services are offered, including but not limited to, blogs, bug trackers and wikis. As the aforementioned services are publicly accessible, personal data posted by You may also be visible to other visitors. RefinedWiki’s website is subject to indexation to search engines (e.g. Google), thus the information posted on the forums may also be publicly visible on such websites. Please be aware that personal data submitted by You may be publicly visible and that You are responsible for ensuring that the information you submit does not violate any applicable legislation. You may not submit any personal data regarding another individual without that person’s explicit consent to make the personal data publicly visible. Personal data posted by You will be visible for as long as required for RefinedWiki to fulfill Your request and will thereafter be deleted. RefinedWiki is entitled to remove any information from public forums that may be regarded as e.g. offensive, illegal or improper.

1.6. By purchasing custom domain/-s you provide RefinedWiki (or its payment processors) with billing details such as credit card information, banking information and/or a billing address. A Custom Domain is where you, through the Refined Admin UI, can add an extra domain of your choice to your refined.site. By setting up a Custom Domain you can replace the default Refined domain with your own domain.

1.7. We will process the personal data you provide when you contact us by e-mail. We will only use this personal data in order to answer you query and/or perform any requested actions. Personal data which is not needed will be promptly deleted after the e-mail has been received and read.

1.8. In many large, geographically dispersed organisations, two or more parties may want to use our products but need to know if the product has already been purchased or evaluated. If You contact us to find out whether another person or party within Your organisation has evaluated or purchased our software, we may disclose that information. You may be required to demonstrate proof that You belong to the organisation that You are inquiring about. RefinedWiki will not willfully disclose Your personal information to any third party without first receiving Your permission.

1.9. RefinedWiki is the controller of the personal data You submit to us and is responsible for the treatment of Your personal data under applicable legislation. You have the right to request information about the personal data RefinedWiki processes at any time. If Your data is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, You have the right to request to have the information corrected or removed. If You request removal of Your personal data, accounts on our websites may be inactivated and requested services, features and/or functions may be disabled. Please note that Your posts on our websites may remain even after You terminate Your account unless You request removal of the same. You may revoke Your permission to us using the data for marketing purposes at any time. You are also entitled to request that the processing of Your personal data shall be restricted or object to the processing of Your personal data. In cases where the processing is based on Your consent or is necessary in order to fulfill an agreement and the processing is carried out by automated means You have the right to request the transfer of Your personal data.
